Maps are everywhere: we pin Imhof shaded reliefs to our bedroom walls, visualize choropleth shades to track the election and COVID-19, and explore the tactical imaginary in video games.  

However, maps are beyond the quotidian, they are deeply immersed in how the world was conceived and acted upon – a worthwhile subject of inquiry.

dead cartographers society is a space for undergraduate and graduate students to discuss, collaborate, teach, and debug all things cartographic.
